Beloved Lee and Barbara,
Let me give you an update on our situation. It is now about a year ago
that we came hom2 from our last trip to the drivers. In November that is. Then
we came back from Spain and Portugal. Never could imagine that the world has so
changed like it is now. We had our plans
ready for this year, but then all changed. We were not allowed to enter Belgium
and Germany only than for reasons with absolute necessity. That stopped our traveling’s
to the drivers. That was in the end of
March and here we are sitting at home with no travelling at all. Our world
became to a standstill traveling wise. And who knows if or when we will be able
to be on the road again, only the Lord knows.
You’re not surprised that we are getting older and the date is nearing
that we’ll be 71 and 77. As for the future of the Trucker Ministry in a
practical way we have to reckon with the reality that we will no longer on the
road as our health is also not getting better….
I came in contact with a driver who thinks about giving his life to the
trucking Ministry. That’s exciting news and we are looking forward what this
can give a boost to the work. Much is depending on the economic situation and
how this will develop.
We live in the last days prophetically so we’ll be prepared for Rapture.
The borders are being closed for now. What we do nowadays is sending material
to those who want to share the Message with their colleagues, but this is also
difficult with that ‘one Meter economy’ which we have here. Many places like
parking lots are nowadays no go area because
of that virus. Which means only professional drivers are allowed to stay
there for some restricted time.
Truck drivers nowadays ar labeled as necessary for the welfare of the
people. So they have now preference on parking places etcetera. We see this as
an end-time situation. Churches are advised to close down by the government. Who
has ever expect that our government would do such a thing. We haven’t been to
church since the last week of March, no Bible study or youth programs. Some
churches however are re-opening the doors reluctantly . It is obvious that only
a few believers are allowed to have meetings. In our home church we have over
two hundred seats, but we are allowed to use only eighteen seats because of bad
oxygen situation.
Concerning our health. Nita is doing quite well and although she has her
weak spells as well. My neuropathy is becoming a handicap. Don’t have much
feeling left in feet and legs. I walk pretty bad with a stick and the doctor
told me that I will need a walker in some time.
Because of a re-occurring bladder inflammation I have some problems in
my brain. I need Nita to help me remember what I have to do or to accomplish as
I have no longer the complete overview of my /our situation.
I was quite a number of times in Hospital.
Although nobody knows how it all will develop we’ re preparing new
tracts in several languages. Perhaps due to how all will develop we’ll be try to be prepared
for the future
My oldest son Peter is retired from his business and sold it. He is 55 now and he is suffering of acute rheumatism. Sven is
still going on with his business, but is becoming more and more difficult to
keep the water below his lips, because economy is gone downhill quite fast.
We only can depend on the Lord and so we do!
Dear Lee and Barbara,
We’ll be praying for you both.
